Chilli Mutton
 


 
 
 
Ingredients

1 kg ground mutton
1 cup red kidney beans (Rajma)
4 onions
1 capsicum
6 tomatoes
6 cloves garlic
2 bay leaves   2 tbsps cornflour
2 tbsp cumin powder
4 pepper corns
4-5 green chillies
salt and chillies powder to taste
2 tbsp oil
 

    Procedure

    * 1. soak the beans in cold water overnight.

    * 2. Chop the onions, garlic and capsicum.
    * 3. Heat oil in a pan and fry the oinon and garlic till brown
    * 4. Add capsicum and cook till it is tender.
    * 5. Add chilli powder, bay leaves ,peppercorns , cumin powder  meat. Brown the mixture and then add 5 cups water and salt to taste .Lower heat, and let it cook for 45-50 minutes or till done .
    * 6. Mean while , boil the beans. When they are done, add them to the meat mixture with the chopped tomatoes .stir for a while, then let it cook on low heat for 10-15 minutes .
    * 7. Add cornflour (mixed with 1 tbsp water ) to and cook till the mixture thickens.
    * 8. Serve hot, garnished with chopped coriander leaves .
