Cabbage Curry


 
 
Ingredients

500 gms cabbage
100 gms peas
2 big tomatos
2 big potatoes
2 cloves garlic
4 whole red chillies
1 large onion
3 cloves
1 tbsp coriander seeds   1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp flaked or beaten rice
1 tsp chana dal, cooked
1 tbsp coconut scrapped
1/2 cup tamarind pulp
oil as needed
salt to tase
 
Procedure
    *  Chop the cabbage and cook with peas and cubed potatoes. When done add chopped tomatoes.
    * Heat 4 tbsp oil. Fry cloves, garlic, red chillies , sliced onion, coriander seeds , turmeric and cumin seeds , and pour over the vegetable mixture .
    * Add the tamarind pulp and salt to the vegetables.
    * Add the beaten rice and cooked dal. Lastly , add the scrapped coconut . Cook for one minute and remove from fire .
    * 5.Heat one tbsp oil and fry the mustard seeds .Pour over the curry.
